The Ann Bancroft Foundation gives grants up to $500 to Minnesota girls, age 5 through high school graduation, to fund experiences to help them work toward their dreams. Contributions through ClassWallet have the same tax deduction status as those made directly to the school.

CLASSWISH

The ClassWish website allows teachers to create a “Wish List” of the materials needed for their classrooms. Supporters then contribute money designated for specific K-12 schools or teachers. ClassWish then purchases the materials and has them shipped directly to the school. ClassWish is a nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible.

The purpose of this grant is to encourage the innovative use of technology and other tools to “help teachers and students visualize and concretize mathematics abstractions…” (Principles to Actions).  When used appropriately, they can enhance other effective teaching and promote meaningful learning opportunities for students.  For 2016-17, grants with a maximum of $3,000 each will be awarded to persons currently teaching mathematics in grades Pre-K-12. The Principles to Actions Tools and Technology Guiding Principle states that “an excellent mathematics program integrates the use of mathematical tools and technology as essential resources to help students learn and make sense of mathematical ideas, reason mathematically, and communicate their mathematical thinking.”

TARGET CORPORATION’S FIELD TRIP GRANTS

The Target Field Trip Grants program provides funds for K-12 field trips in order to give students throughout the country the opportunity to explore more of the world outside the classroom. Last year, 5,000 grants of up to $700 each were be awarded to educators, teachers, principals, paraprofessionals, and classified staff who are employed by accredited K-12 public, private, or charter schools. Types of eligible trips include art, science, and cultural museum visits; community service and civic projects; career enrichment opportunities; and other events or activities away from the school facility. Funds may be used to cover trip-related costs such as transportation, ticket fees, food, resource materials, and supplies.

TWINS COMMUNITY FUND • COACHING GRANTS

The Minnesota Twins Community Fund Youth Coaching Grant Program will distribute grants of $100-$2,000 to assist youth baseball and softball organizations in recruiting coaches for the youth teams in their leagues.

This Youth Baseball/Softball Grant Program provides financial support to youth baseball and softball capital projects located in Hennepin County.

TWINS COMMUNITY FUND • JUNIOR TWINS

The Junior Twins Program provides youth baseball and softball organizations in the Upper Midwest with monetary grants (up to $5,000) and resources they need to promote their league and recruit new participants, as well as train coaches, purchase necessary equipment, and administer their league.

TWINS COMMUNITY FUND • FIELDS FOR KIDS

The Twins Community Fund’s Twins Fields for Kids Program provides financial support to improve baseball and/or softball facilities for youth in the Upper Midwest and Southwest Florida.

TWINS COMMUNITY FUND • TWINSCARE TICKETS FOR KIDS

The TwinsCare Tickets for Kids Grant Program of the Twins Community Fund exists to bring underserved youth to Minnesota Twins regular-season baseball games at Target Field. The program distributes one-time annual grants of game tickets to nonprofit organizations serving youth and families.

Bring the National Parks to life for your students with a field trip to Voyageurs National Park.
K-6th grade youth groups, including public schools, private schools, homeschoolers, scout groups, and youth outdoor leadership programs can apply for a travel grant to cover 50% or more of transportation costs for students to participate in one of the free field classes offered through the Environmental Education program at Voyageurs National Park. Grants are made possible by the Donald Weesner Foundation and Voyageurs National Park Association.
