Eccentric Elwood P. Dowd’s best friend, Harvey, is a 6-1/2′ tall rabbit. And invisible to all but Elwood. This Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy was an immediate hit on Broadway, & continues to delight audiences today. Enjoy an evening of dinner theatre by our amazingly-talented Great River Arts actors. Matinee and evening performances this April.

SYNOPSIS:
Veta and her daughter live with Veta’s brother, Elwood in the family home. Everything is fine until Elwood, a pleasant, but eccentric fellow has begun to cause his sister embarrassment when he continues to invite his friend Harvey to all of her social gatherings. According to Elwood, his best friend Harvey is six-and-a-half-foot-tall rabbit. Since none of the guests can see Harvey-as he’s invisible to them-the gatherings quickly end in disaster. This Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy was a hit when it opened on Broadway in the 1940s and continues to delight audiences today.
