REACH OUT TO MORE EDUCATORS & GROUP PLANNERS WITH THIS DESKTOP GUIDE!
The annual full color, printed Guide has proven to be exceptionally popular with educators, group leaders and planners of educational & recreational activities (all ages). These include performers, entertainers, field trips, day trips, bus tours and many activities in the following niche markets:
Schools and the education market (public, private, charter, homeschool co-ops, etc)
Youth groups & organizations(scouts, park & rec, community ed, churches, child care, etc)
Active adult and boomer groups (retirement organizations & communities, senior centers, care facilities, etc)
Group travel (tour operators, travel clubs, bank clubs, corporate groups, etc)

The Guides are designed to be “desktop companions” for planning teams, educators and group leaders, pointing them directly to you. They are distributed in person at conferences we attend & also directly to schools & organizations. The digital versions of each Guide are published on our website & promoted (with active links) in our monthly email Alerts.

DISTRIBUTION TO PLANNERS WHO USE THE GUIDES – How we do it…
• Conferences – direct in-person distribution to attendees
• Direct to Educators, Districts and Elementary & Middle Schools (to grade level planning teams, afterschool staff, community educators, summer activity planners, PTO/PTA/Booster Club Leaders, and Curriculum Managers)
• Direct to Park & Recreation Departments, Recreational Youth Organizations
• Mailed/distributed to Tour Planners, Bank Club Directors, Group Leaders

HISTORY OF THE GUIDE
• January 2014 with 10,000 printed and distributed in MN & surrounding states. Plus digital impressions: 2948
• January 2015 with 12,500 printed and distributed in MN & surrounding states. Plus digital impressions: 3399
• July 2016 with 12,500 printed and distributed in MN & surrounding states. Plus digital impressions: 2952
• July 2017 with 12,500 printed and distributed in MN & surrounding states. Plus digital impressions: 3,487
• July 2018 with 12,500 printed and distributed in MN & surrounding states. Plus digital impressions to date: 3,623
In 2017 and 2018 the average time to read the digital Guide was more than 7 minutes for each “read time”.

• In 2019 we plan to print and distribute at least 12,500 Guides.

We print in May/June after formatting the new Guide, with distribution beginning in July.
All advertisers must design, produce, and provide their own ad.
All Standard, non-premium placement ads will be arranged in alphabetical order.
Partners have first choice for all Premium display ad positions.

 • 6″ (H) x 9.75″ (W) – this is not the size of a standard ad, but is the trim size of the entire Guide.

1. STANDARD DISPLAY AD

5.5″ (H) x 4.5″ (W)

– NO – bleeds (your ad will be centered on the page) – See the 2018 Guide. There are 2 Standard Display Ads per page.
– YES – Put a hairline rule around your ad.
– NO – crop marks
YES – Your finished and approved ad must be submitted as a PDF file.
NO – proofs – make sure your ad is approved for printing when you send it in.

2. UPGRADE to a Full Page Display Ad

5.5″ (H) x 9.25″ (W)

This is a double sized dizsplay ad (2 standard ads)
– NO
 – bleeds (your ad will NOT bleed off the page) – See the 2018 Guide for examples.
– YES – Put a hairline rule around your ad.
– NO – crop marks
YES – Your finished and approved display ad must be submitted to us in a PDF file format.
NO – proofs – make sure your ad is approved for printing when you send it in.

3. UPGRADES to Display Ads in Premium Positions

Front Cover – Photo (no type on photo) – trim size: 6″ (H) x 6.75″ (W) – Advertiser also gets a Standard Ad inside Guide.
Inside Front Cover – Full Page (no bleeds) – trim size: 5.5″ (H) x 9.25″ (W)
Center Spread – 2 Full Pages (full bleed) – trim size: 6.25″ (H) x 19.5″ (W)
Inside Back Cover – Full Page (no full bleed) – trim size: 5.5″ (H) x 9.25″ (W)
Back Cover – Photo Ad, partial bleed – trim size: 6″ (H) x 6.75″ (W) – Advertiser also gets a Standard Ad inside Guide.

REMEMBER…
• Images & graphic elements must be high resolution (300 dpi), with all ads prepared for 4-color process printing.
• Make sure your type & images are embedded into your PDF document.
• Your ad(s) must be submitted as an approved PDF document ready to print.
We do NOT send out proofs. Submit your ad approved and ready to print.
