On the Iron Range…

On the Iron Range we have an abundance of unique outdoor recreation for every season, wonderful & constantly evolving festivals, museums & tours that share glimpses of the region’s history that will leave you inspired, beautiful venues, and of course our captivating natural vistas.

As a region predominantly known for its iron mining origins there is a wealth of history to be discovered, and that history is written on the cliff faces of the Redhead MTB Park, can be seen by bikers travelling the Mesabi Trail, it can be found standing proudly in our growing downtown areas, and it can be experienced at locations such as the Eli Wirtanen Farmstead or the trolley tours at The Minnesota Discovery Center.

From the rich history of the Iron Range something new has been growing. The Iron Range is quickly becoming an outdoor recreation destination that is abundant with celebrations and cultural revolution as new ideas surface from the old to provide exceptional experiences to visitors and long-time residents alike. From tapped mining pits we have built beauty & adventure, from traditions we have crafted new ways of moving forward that outpace even many metropolitan areas!

Venues such as the Iron Trail Motors Event Center, the Range Regional Convention Center & Giants Ridge provide the best services for event runners as well, whether it is for a corporate get-together, wedding, or a convention.

Explore our trails, celebrate with us, and discover everything that has been building in our corner of northern Minnesota, right here on The Range!
