LANDMARK CENTER | Experience the Balkans Without Leaving Your Home!

Landmark Center and the Ethnic Dance Theater will present their (Virtual) 3rd Annual “Balkan Celebration” on February 21 at 12:00 PM, and you don’t have to leave your warm home! Experience the rich and beautiful culture and traditions of this Eastern European region, which includes Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Romania, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and others.

Landmark Center will re-open to the public February 3rd for limited public viewing hours.

February 21 at 12:00 PM, Landmark Center will team up with the Ethnic Dance Theatre to bring the visually stunning “Balkan Celebration” to your computer, pad, or phone. All ages will delight in exploring the music, dance, gorgeous folk costumes, foods, and folk art of these Old-World cultures. You can even try cooking traditional recipes yourself, make culturally related crafts (for all ages), and perhaps try a language lesson! Don’t worry if you can’t enjoy all of it in one sitting…the event will remain on Landmark Center’s website for one month!

In addition to our virtual programming, Landmark Center will re-open to the public February 3rd for limited public viewing hours. Landmark Center will be open weekly Wednesday – Friday & Sundays 12 – 4pm. Guests can take a variety of self guided tours, complete a scavenger hunt, and visit our in house galleries to include our North Gallery, Ramsey County Historical Society exhibit space and the Gallery of Wood Art. For updated information on what exhibits are in each space visit the Landmark Center website. During our reduced public hours guests will enter the building at the 5th Street entrance or the Market Street accessible entrance. At both entrances guests will ring a door bell and security will admit them. We look forward to having visitors back in our beautiful building. Social distancing practices will be in place and masks are mandatory.
