MINNESOTA STATE PUBLIC SCHOOL ORPHANAGE MUSEUM

What Was Life Like At the MN State School Orphanage?

From 1886-1945, 16 cottages on the now West Hills Campus in Owatonna, housed up to 500 abandoned or abused children. This was to be a haven where they could transform into productive members of society. Reserve your tour of the Orphanage Museum to hear stories of these forgotten children, possibly even with a tour guide who was one of those children.
