Minnesotans Sent Food To Europe During WWI. Belgium’s Children Sent Us LETTERS OF GRATITUDE.

During World War 1, many people in Europe faced starvation. Minnesotans responded with the largest humanitarian assistance campaign in history. The children of Belgium sent LETTERS OF GRATITUDE to the children of the America. A selection of these letters have been translated and used to create a powerful exhibit that has been shown across the United States. Global Minnesota, as part of our World Food Day activities, has partnered with the Mall of America and the Embassy of Belgium, to bring this exhibit to Minnesota and to tell this story. This exhibit will be at the Mall of America during the month of October 2020.
