THE WORKS MUSEUM

Get Your Pick of Fall Field Trip Dates

The school year is wrapping up, but we’re already booking field trips for the fall! Our popular STEM workshops support the Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in Science. Visit the Museum or bring our workshops to you!

Have a blast with hands-on engineering activities and science fun with your elementary aged students at The Works Museum. Our Experience Gallery is located on one easy-to-supervise level, making it perfect for groups. Ideal for students in grades K-6, our field trips give your students inspiring and interactive experiences in the applications of STEM fields.

Add a workshop to your field trip for even more fun learning. All of our workshops support the Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in science. Topics include Light and Kaleidoscopes, Circuit Explore, Mixing Molecules, Motor Power, and many more! All workshops include hands-on activities and a take-home project. We offer workshops for students in Pre-K all the way to Grade 6, in either 30-, 60-, or 90-minute lengths.

Interested in setting up a workshop but can’t come to The Works? We can bring the STEM fun to your school in a few different ways:

– Visiting Workshops – A 60- or 90-minute workshop for a group of students. You pick the workshop and the time, we bring the engineering.

– Residencies – When there are too many students to arrange transportation, we can set up a residency at your school where we lead workshops for multiple classes over several days.

– Family Engineering Nights – These events are ideal as stand-alone events or as an addition to a family event, open house, or science fair. We provide engineering activities for parents and kids to do together, all the required supplies, and training for volunteers.
